We will also repair any percussion instruments, getting them out of the store room and into service as quickly as possible.
Allan Watson - Managing Director
After completing his Bachelor of Music Education, Allan successfully won the Associate Principal Timpani and Percussion chair with the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, a position he has held for 25 years. Allan Watson is currently the Acting Principal Percussionist and Associate Principal Timpanist. The orchestra performs over 250 performances per year at the Sydney Opera House for Opera Australia and the Australian Ballet. He has performed for Australian Idol and for many Film, CD and TV scores. He has spent many years teaching students at high schools as well as at the tertiary levels teaching Percussion pedagogy to future music teachers at the University of NSW. With his high school music training and knowledge of percussion instruments and professional experience, Allan is in a unique position to help you make the most of your percussion program.
Carolyn Bounds - General Manager
Carolyn has been a lecturer in Harmony, Aural and Performance Practices, a woodwind examiner for the AMEB and is a popular adjudicator. She was a clinician providing ideas and resources for Boomwhackers at ECCPA in 2007 and in Singapore 2008. Carolyn has performed as a freelance flutist with the Sydney Symphony, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, The Australian Chamber Orchestra, and for Australian Idol. Carolyn has been the principal flute for the musicals Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, Showboat, Man of La Mancha, Sunset Boulevard, Titanic, South Pacific and many more. She has played for over 20 years to 1000’s of children as the flautist for the Sydney Opera House - Kids at the House program . In 2009 Carolyn was a NSW finalist for the Telstra Business Women’s Awards.
