Shakers, Maracas, Guiros and Cabasas
Our range of shakers and other small Latin instruments is continually growing, with many recent additions coming from the German company, Rohema. Rohema make an enormous range of classroom and education percussion instruments. The Rohema instruments look and feel great, but more importantly, they have fantastic sounds. We currently have more than 15 different types of Rohema shakers – all of which sound excellent and are great fun.

The Rohema mini shakers have a similar size and projection to a chicken shaker. They have a wooden shells, which give a warmer, rounder sound than metal or plastic shakers. There is a choice of three types of wood for the beads, which graduate from very smooth (Beech) to medium (Acacia) to a coarse sound (Bubinga/Rosewood).

The Mini Shakers are also available with metal shells, for a sharper sound. Again there is the choice of woods for the beads.
Maracas
LP Ebony Concert maracas are the best sounding and easiest to use maracas on the market.
We also stock a range of Nino and Rohema and other maracas to suit all budgets.
Guiros

Rohema Guiro/Tone block

One our most exciting discoveries recently has been the Rohema Guiro. It has a fairly unconventional shape, but has a strong, deep sound, is easy to use, and is great value. We also stock Guiros made by LP, Meinl and other manufacturers.
Cabasas
Our recommendation for Cabasas are the large and small Amber Cabasas made by Meinl. These instruments have a fantastic smooth action, huge sound, and great look.
