Bergerault are a French company that have specialised in the production of superior Mallet Percussion instruments since 1932. Their Marimbas have terrific sounding Rosewood bars and feature excellent frame design and engineering. Bergerault have recently patented a resonator tuning system, which allows each resonator in the lower register of the instrument to be individually tuned. Overall the instruments have a lovely sound, are great to play, look fantastic and are excellent value for money.

Bass Marimba GMB

The instrument has individual resonator tuning in the low register, which is a really important feature in order to enable the instrument to sound its best in any situation. The Honduras Rosewood bars have a warm, rich sound and the frame can be dismantled and set-up quickly and easily. The bars reach a width of 90mm at the bottom.
M4G
The M4G is a 4.3 octave instrument, which also features individual resonator tuning in the lower register of the instrument. The Honduras Rosewood bars graduate to a width of 70 mm at the bottom, which gives the instrument a big, open and warm sound. Same great looking and easily dismantled frame as the GMB.
MCA
Another Bergerault option in the 4.3 range is the MCA. This instrument has non-Honduras Rosewood bars that reach a width of 60mm at the bottom. The frame is height adjustable, lightweight and easy to transport and dismantle.
MCB
The MCB has the same frame and lighter Rosewood bars as the MCA. The range of the instrument is 4.5 octaves (F-c), with bars of a width of 70mm at the bottom. A great value instrument with tuneable resonators at the bottom!
