The new Championship “Medalist” Snare Drum is the lightest in its class, just 6.25Kg / 13.8lbs. The reduction in weight has been reached by looking into every detail of the snare. Firstly the shell construction; it’s an 100% Birch 5.0mm even 4 ply shell which resulted in a huge weight reduction. Secondly, the top and bottom strainer have been redesigned which resulted in a 35% weight reduction compared to our previous model.

Next to the reduction in weight other improvements have been made. Pearl has created new Snare Wires which are meticulously soldered, placed and even tensioned. All the Aluminum hardware including the aluminum alloy edge rings and rims are now fitted with our new Shiny Anodized finish, which give the drums a brilliant finish at the same time a durable and easy to maintain finish; to withstand all weather conditions.
