Moto Perpetuo for Marimba: each
Composer: Paganini
Arranger: Pachla

Niccolo Paganini (1782 - 1840) is considered the greatest violin virtuoso of all times, and as such he has exerted a considerable influence on the stylistic development of violin music. In addition to his famous violin concertos and the capricci, he mainly composed bravura pieces for violin, guitar and mandolin which are found in the repertoire of all first-class soloists. This applies in particular to the "Moto perpetuo", op. 11. This virtuoso work is presented through transcription to marimba players who are urged to study the preliminary exercises conscientiously before beginning to study the composition by Paganini itself. This will make it possible for the soloist to realise without difficulty the motifs and modulations, the scales, arpeggios and "broken" seventh chords of the "Moto perpetuo". (from score)
