Three Movements: each Composer: Houllif Murray
This PAS prize-winning composition is a tour-de-force for the solo percussionist. Movement 1 is for multi-percussion solo with mallet quartet accompaniment. Movement 2 features vibe solo with ethereal metallic and glass (rice bowls) sonorities. Movement 3 is a timpani solo with a fast, driving drum and mallet accompaniment. This is a perfect piece for the recitalist or for an ensemble feature.
