This percussion trio for the beginning ensemble uses a notational legend to communicate sound features such as stick clicks, playing near the rim, playing on the rim and foot stomps. A score and individual parts are provided with clear, concise markings including some stickings. Technically, 5-stroke rolls, a 17-stroke roll and paradiddles are the main rudiments employed.
