Dragonfly Percussion's large bell mallet is a 1” phenolic mallet head on a thin fiberglass handle. It has excellent sound quality and projection on steel bells and is a perfect general-purpose bell mallet for a large concert ensembles. The 1” phenolic core with a small brass insert produces a clean, clear sound, with a slightly brighter sound with more body than the 1” clear. Perfect for excerpts in Sorcerers or any passage requiring a lighter, clearer sound than your general rattan bell mallet.
