Dragonfly Percussion vibe mallets are designed to be the perfect go-to sticks for general playing in the orchestra and chamber setting. They are also ideal cross-over sticks for marimba and vibes, with excellent sound quality and response on both instruments. The relatively small head size (1 1/4" diameter) makes accuracy a bit easier on narrower bars and the gentle contour of the playing surface makes mallet dampening very easy.
This hard green mallet is very articulate and clear without being shrill. It produces a more even spread of high and low overtones than most hard vibe sticks, giving it a bright yet full sound without being heavy. This agile stick is perfect for the faster passages in West Side Story and Catch Me If You Can.
