1” Clear Lexan ball on short fiberglass shaft with latex grip. Hardness Scale = 6 11 3/4" overall length. Same ball as the K13 but no brass insert. This combined with the fiberglass shaft gives it a totally different sound and character which is always desirable when trying to find new sounds for glockenspiel. Do try them on xylophone as well for soft passages, as well as wood block and crotales. All of these short fiberglass mallets are a big help to players taking auditions that run up against low grade entry level glockenspiels with very thin light bars. These are the mallets to use in those situations every time!
