Freer Medium Maple Ball with Hard Chamois Cover: each

The BD3 is the ultimate hard staccato bass drum mallet. Strong, cutting and powerful enough for the largest orchestra. The BD3 features a solid hickory shaft and maple ball head with weighted insert and premium natural chamois covering. It is the BD4 but with no soft base felt and a hard chamois cover. This is a must for solo notes in Rite Of Spring, Alborada Del Gracioso and of course Verdi Requiem among many others. The sound is best described as clean, bright, clear and powerful. Highly recommended to buy in pairs for strong rhythmic playing. This mallet has become a choice for many concert bands as well as their standard march mallet.
