*NEW!! SUSPENDED CYMBAL MALLETS The new Freer Percussion suspended cymbal mallets are especially designed for suspended cymbals. They do sound good on marimba so go ahead…after all, they were back engineered from a pair of 1930’s model yarn mallets that I originally received with my King George marimba. This model of mallet is what we have used in the Cleveland Orchestra for roughly 50 years now and still use today. The core is very heavy hard rubber custom made for us to match the vintage core. Yarn is a simple wool blend which even matches the color of the originals as well. They are very tightly wound and make your cymbals speak instantly and have the right amount of weight to get any cymbal going quickly whether it’s single notes or rolls.
