Yamaha glockenspiel tone bars are made of high carbon steel and treated with a special tempering process to produce a bright pure tone. The bars are mounted on the frame using either a suspension cord system (YG-2500) or nodal point support string with single pin bar mounting (YG-1210, YG-250D) to increase sustain and maximize resonance. The YG-2500 features a pedal dampening system and built-in frame with gas spring assisted height adjustment. The YG1210 Professional model has thick bars that provide clear sound with good projection and sparkly overtones. Suitable for higher level ensembles - high schools, community bands and orchestras.
